A full day of events is planned Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Emergency Medical Services Health Fair at Five Points Shopping Center.
Law enforcement and fire departments from throughout Davis County will be on hand to exhibit and demonstrate their latest equipment and a variety of ambulances, old and new, and rescue helicopters will be on display.A Life Flight helicopter rescue and medical team will give a demonstration at 10 a.m. in the shopping center parking area, and an awards presentation will be held at 11 a.m. inside the center.
Crash dummies will be put through their paces at noon, and the Davis County Sheriff's Search and Rescue dogs will be shown off and given some tricky assignments at 1 p.m.
Air-Med will give a helicopter demonstration at 2 p.m.; several fire departments will hold an extrication demonstration - cut a mock victim out of a vehicle - at 3 p.m.; and a hazardous materials demonstration will be held at 4 p.m.
Everything is free. The public is urged to attend the fair.
