Four convoys of trucks hauling huge pieces of a smelter to Geneva Steel near Orem won't be blocking freeway traffic until Sunday, Sept. 30.

Motorists will be forced into the inside lane and shoulder to pass as the trucks travel on I-80 from the Wyoming border to I-84 at Echo Junction, then onto I-15 into Orem.In Friday's edition, the Deseret News reported the trucks would begin arriving in the state on Sunday, Sept. 23, as originally scheduled. The delayed convoy will be escorted by the Utah Highway Patrol, Utah Department of Transportation safety personnel and support vehicles.
