Actor Corey Feldman was released from jail early Friday following his second arrest this year on charges of heroin possession, authorities said.

Feldman, 19, of Beverly Hills Calif., was arrested on several outstanding traffic warrants about 4:30 p.m. Thursday, and officers found a small amount of heroin during a booking search.Feldman was released about 1:50 a.m. from Van Nuys Jail after posting $5,000 bail on the heroin count and paying the $729 fine on the traffic warrants.

The arrest occurred in front of a friend's home in North Hollywood where a neighbor had reported someone trying to break into a 1988 BMW. Police determined no crime had been committed when they found Feldman in his girlfriend's car, Lt. Gary Hallden said.

Feldman is best known for his role in the movies "Stand By Me" and most recently "The 'Burbs."
