A bankruptcy trustee's reign as a Nevada brothel madam ended before it began Friday when a federal judge lifted an order that would have allowed her to operate the infamous Mustang Ranch.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge James Thompson's actions during a brief hearing opened the way for the Internal Revenue Service to foreclose on the brothel 10 miles east of Reno.Bankruptcy trustee Jeri Coppa had sought an order from the judge allowing her to operate the brothel under owner Joe Conforte's existing licenses.
