Here is the latest fishing report from the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources:

Bear Lake - Slow. Very few fishermen.Blacksmith Fork - Good fly fishing. Impoundments slow.

Causey Reservoir - Slow to fair fishing. A few large cutthroats caught. Water cooling, but fish still deep. Water level low.

East Canyon - Poor fishing. Water low and large algae growth.

Echo Reservoir - Fishing is fair, best on weekdays. Water low.

Hyrum - Few fishermen. Should pick up for 3-to 5-pound rainbow.

Logan River - Good fly fishing, but impoundments slow.

Mantua - Has been reopened. Some bass being caught. All fish under 15 inches must be returned to water and only two big fish can be kept.

Ogden River - Some surface activity has started. Best with flies. Fair fishing on restored stretch at mouth of Monroe Canyon. Stocked. Watch for browns.

Porcupine - Kokanee running, but fishing slow. Access poor. Must carry in boats.

Willard Bay - South Marina dredged, but very low. Catfish fishing fair.

Utah Lake - Channel catfishing is slowing. Use carp meat and worms.

Provo River (lower) - Water above Olmstead is clear and good trout fishing. Use lures and flies only.

Deer Creek - Good trout fishing, but slowing down. Fish early.

Quail Creek Reservoir - Water level dropping. Fair for trout, good for bluegill. Catch and release only for bass. Boat ramp unusable for big boats.

Panguitch Lake - Water low. Shore fishing slow, boat fishing fair to good. Many fish in 1- to 2-pound class. Use marshmallows, Velveta cheese and worms in 10 to 15 feet of water.

Minersville Reservoir - Low, murky water. Light pressure, slow fishing.

Flaming Gorge - Kokanee salmon fishing fair to good. Try bays with streams. Rainbow fishing good with baits and lures down about 35 feet. Some surface action. Lake trout fishing slow.

Green River - Good to excellent. Match the hatches. Grasshopper and small dry imitations working well. Fishing and boating pressure slowing. Good for channel cat on lower end.

Pelican Lake - Few largemouth still being caught.

Starvation - Taking smallmouth and walleye, and some trout.

Steinaker - Good to excellent for 12- to 16-inch rainbow. Water low, but ramp accessible.

Colorado River - Catfishing is good. Five to seven pound fish being taken. Best between Hittle Bottom and Dewey Bridge. Night fishing most productive. Use squid, stink bait or chicken livers.

- Electric Lake - Poor to fair for cutthroat. Salmon eggs, night crawlers and spinners working well. Boat ramp out of water.

Joe's Valley - Fishing good. Shore fishing best off dam or near Seely Creek. Worms, floating cheese and salmon eggs recommended.

Millsite - Fair for 8- to 10-inch rainbow. Salmon eggs, cheese and worms work best.

Scofield - Fishing slow. A few trout in 2-pound range. 11-pound rainbow caught Sept. 1.
