The Salt Lake Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual membership meeting Friday, Oct. 12, at noon in Little America, according to Fred S. Ball, president.
In addition to highlighting the 1989-90 fiscal year, chamber members will honor outgoing members of the board of governors and recognize Nordstrom, the meeting's sponsor, for 10 years of business in Utah. Robert J. Middlemas, Nordstrom's general manager for Utah, will speak about the company's 10-year presence in the state.W. Mack Lawrence, vice president and chief executive officer for US WEST Communications, the outgoing chairman of the board of governors, will speak about the chamber's accomplishments during his term. Presiding at the luncheon will be Mark Miller, board chairman.
Others board members scheduled to be honored are Dallas H. Bradford, managing partner, Arthur Andersen & Co.; David L. Gillette, an attorney and partner in the law firm of VanCott Bagley Cornwall & McCarthy; Karen H. Huntsman, vice president and director of Huntsman Chemical Corp.; William N. Jones, chairman of Intermountain Health Care; and John Pingree, general manager of the Utah Transit Authority.
A fashion show presented by Nordstrom will feature fashions of the past 10 years.
The cost is $25 per person and tables of 10 can be purchased for $250. Reservations must be made by Oct. 1 by calling Diana Roberts at 364-3631.
