Orville Isom, age 76, died September 19, 1990 at his residence in Hurricane, Utah.

He was born May 19, 1914 in Hurricane, the son of Thomas and Annie Hinton Isom. He marriedGladys Woodbury, December 29, 1936 in the St. George LDS Temple. Orville was born and raised in Hurricane. He graduated from the University of Utah with a law degree in 1938. He was a Veteran of World War II. After his education and military duty he established his law practice in Cedar City, where he has resided since. Orville has served as District Attorney, City Attorney and County Attorney. Besides Cedar City, he had served many small towns as City Attorney. Orville has served the residents of Iron County as a legal advisor for 52 years. He was a family man, he was instrumental in implementing the Little League Baseball Program in Cedar. He loved to garden. He appreciated roses and fruit trees. Mr. Isom was a civic leader, he was a member of the Cedar City Lion's Club, Sons of Utah Pioneers and supported the Southern Utah State University. He was an active member of the LDS Church, and currently served as a High Priest in the Cedar City 9th Ward.

Survivors: Wife, children, Dallas W., Salem, Oregon; Jon O., Danville, California; T. Richard, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Craig ("Dusty" Harriet Ann) Miller, Oakland, California; F. Bradley, Portland, Oregon; Wynn R., Cedar City; Layne A., Spokane, Washington; preceded in death by son, Gregory J. Isom; also surviving 16 grandchildren; one brother, Leslie Isom, Hurricane; two sisters, Grace Lundell, Riverside, California; Mrs. L. Robert (Genevieve) Gardner, Cedar City, Utah.

Funeral services will be held September 22, 1990 at 11 a.m. in the Cedar City 9th LDS Ward Chapel, 256 So. 900 West. Friends may call for viewing Friday evening from 7-8 p.m. at the Spilsbury Desert Rose Memorial Chapel, 525 West State in Hurricane and Saturday at the Cedar City 9th Ward Chapel from 9:30 until time for services. Interment: Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of the Spilsbury Desert Rose Memorial Chapel, Hurricane, Utah.
