Myra Lavada Henderson Cassity age 84, our faithful, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.Born February 25, 1906 to Robert George Henderson and Cora Lavada Stanton, in Slocan, BC, Canada, returned home to join them on September 18, 1990 in Salt Lake City.
After marrying Elsworth J. Cassity on July 30, 1926, she continued to lead a very rich and full life. With her music she touched many lives, not only as an organist for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but a teacher of many piano students including most of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Myra and Elsworth solemnized in the SL LDS Temple on June 14, 1950. During this union three children were born.
Survived by three children: Robert J., Carlsbad, California; William S., St. George, Utah, and Mrs. Morgan (Valjeanne) Pace, West Jordan, Utah; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband.
Private services will be held Thursday, 2:00 p.m., September20, 1990 at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 S. Highland Drive.
