Walter Mills Liddiard, 82, died Sept. 18, 1990, in Provo.

Born October 6, 1907, in Provo, to Samuel George Nippress and Clara LaDell Peay Liddiard. Married Emily Donaldson November 5, 1930; marriage later solemnized Provo LDS Temple. He was employed at Provo Greenhouse and Provo Floral before being employed at Brigham Young University in 1955. While employed at BYU, he was the first manager of the Benjamin Cluff, Jr. Botany and Horticultural Greenhouses. He served on the Provo City Shade Tree Commission.Survivors: Wife, of Provo; three sons, one daughter, Robert M. Liddiard, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Larry (Walene) Decker, Tooele; Samuel G. Liddiard, Dugway; Don L. Liddiard, Provo; 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one brother, Earl Liddiard, American Fork.

Funeral services will be Saturday, 11 a.m., at the Pioneer 2nd Ward, 450 No. 1200 West, Provo. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center, on Friday, 6 to 8 p.m., or at the ward chapel on Saturday, one hour prior to services. Interment, Provo City Cemetery.
