Lucille Draney Smith, 82, died September 18, 1990, in Sandy, Utah.

Born November 16, 1907 in Plain City, Utah, to Asa and Charlotte Eames Draney. Married J. Albert Smith in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 7, 1930. He died March 30, 1977. Lucille enjoyed nature, animals, gardening, family, and travel. She loved the simple ways of life. Her nature was quiet, with great strength and conviction. She served as President of the Lady Lions of Midvale and Secretary of the Ladies Community Club; She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as a Relief Society visiting teacher for 40 years; Primary secretary and teacher for four years; an instructor in Relief Society; and as a temple worker at the Jordan River LDS Temple.She is survived by children and their spouses, Jackie and Butch Jeffries; Juel Polidori and Joe Polidori; and Draney and Sondra Smith; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Viola Miller, Afton, Wyoming.

Funeral Services Saturday, Sept. 22, 11 a.m., in the Midvale 1st Ward Chapel, 465 6th Avenue, Midvale. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Friday 6-8 p.m., and at the ward on Saturday, 9:45-10:45 a.m. Burial, Midvale City Cemetery.
