Here are some terms you should know:
Antlerless deer - A deer without antlers or with antlers less than five inches. All fawns are antlerless deer.Antlerless elk - An elk without antlerless or with antlers less than five inches. All calves are antlerless.
Antlerless moose - A moose without antlers or with antlers shorter than its ears. All Calves are antlerless.
Buck pronghorn antelope - An antelope with horns longer than its ears.
Buck deer - Deer with antlers over five inches.
Bull elk - Elk with antlers over five inches.
Bull moose - Moose with antlers longer than its ears.
Daylight hours - That period between one-half hour before official sunrises to one-half hour after official sunset.
Doe pronghorn antelope - An antelope with horns shorter than its ears.
Evidence of sex - The natural evidence - head or sex organs - of any big game animal.
Mature goat - A Rocky Mountain goat older than two years of age.
Point - Any projection of an antler greater than one inch measured from its base to its tip.
Spoiled - Impairment of the flesh quality of any form of wildlife beyond which point a reasonable and prudent person would consider it unfit for human consumption.
Waste - Protected wildlife that has been abandoned, allowed to deteriorate, or used in a manner not normally associated with beneficial uses of the species involved.
