A man accused of stealing eight nasal inhalers collapsed and died after struggling with store employees, police said.
Joseph Felicetta III, 42, Murray, was pronounced dead on arrival at Cottonwood Hospital shortly after noon Tuesday, said Murray Sgt. Ed Riet.Felicetta collapsed in the parking lot of Albertson's Food Center after a store security guard and another employee confronted him, Riet said.
Store employees accused Felicetta of pocketing the inhalers while inside the store, Riet said.
When officers arrived, the man was still breathing, but he ceased to breathe shortly thereafter. A police officer performed CPR on him until emergency medical personnel arrived.
Felicetta, who is survived by a wife and four children, is a former roofer who suffered a four-story fall about 10 years ago and has since been on a permanent disability pension, Riet said.
