Lynette Neff, a second-grade teacher at Goshen Elementary School, is the 1990 Nebo School District teacher of the year.
Neff, a teacher for 18 years, has served on several school and district committees. Through training at Brigham Young University, she has developed special instructional skills in pre-writing exercises. She gives much of the credit for her teaching success to the partnership and team effort that exists at Goshen Elementary School. "An award like this should really be a `we' award," Neff said. "Teachers, administrators and the students at Goshen School lend themselves to excellence of which I am honored to be a part of."
Neff places major emphasis on enriching and strengthening the opportunities of her students. She has one student who requires more of her attention and has worked out a program with the student and the parents to ensure a successful learning experience.
