The Marriott School of Management's Career Development Office at Brigham Young University has a new name and a new director.

Dean K. Fred Skousen has announced that Ronald R. Burke will lead the newly named Career Services Office. Succeeding Royanne Boyer, Burke will encourage companies to recruit BYU management and accounting graduates. Boyer has accepted a position at Utah Valley Community College.Burke was a supervisor of seismic crews in Libya for the Marathon Oil Co. He later became chief geophysicist for Marathon in Australia and New Guinea. He was then transferred to Marathon's corporate offices in Findlay, Ohio, as chief geophysicist in the company's worldwide exploration effort.

Returning to the domestic oil scene, Burke became vice president of Marathon's U.S. and Canadian exploration activities. He retired in 1986 and lives in Provo.
