Palestinians of the Israeli-occupied Gaza Strip observed a general protest strike on Wednesday, and the army imposed a curfew on the area's largest refugee camp where a 13-year-old girl died in a clash with troops.

The soldiers confined all 55,000 residents to their homes in Jabalya camp where the girl was shot during a clash with demonstrators on Tuesday night.The 42,000 residents of Sha'ti refugee camp in Gaza remained under curfew following earlier violence along with residents of four villages and the town of Kalkilya, all in the occupied West Bank.
