Jordan District's Advanced Business Computer Training Program has been judged the best of its kind in Region 8, a seven-state area that is composed of Utah, South Dakota, North Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Colorado and Utah.

Outstanding programs throughout the country are selected through a program promoted by U.S. Education Secretary William Bennett.The Jordan business training program has received national acclaim and has been featured in several business and education publications.The Deseret News also did a feature last year.

The program is housed in the Jordan Technical Center, which offers vocational training opportunities to students in all of the district's high schools. Renee Pay heads the business computer management course. John Taylor is principal of the center and Scott Olsen is vocational director.
