An Israeli delegation including two Soviet-born Jews headed for Moscow Tuesday on the first such official trip in 21 years.

The five Israelis will kick off their visit by attending Sabbath prayers in a Moscow synagogue, where they hope to have a chance to meet informally with Soviet Jews, said Soviet-born diplomat Meron Gordon, who heads the group.In addition to Gordon, 41, who came to Israel at the age of 10, the delegation includes Yaakov Kedmi, a former Soviet dissident named Yasha Kazakov who came to Israel in the 1960s.
