For a wave of '60s nostalgia, nothing works better than hearing the Mamas and Papas singing "Monday, Monday."

If you've missed that harmonious music, prepare for a little "California Dreamin' " - the Mamas and Papas are back at Lagoon on Saturday at 5 and 8 p.m. with a new version of the group that spread their silky harmonies well-known around the world.Of the original group, only John Phillips is returning. Mama Cass died in 1974, Michelle Phillips is now an actress and had a recurring role on "Knotts Landing" and Denny Doherty is somewhere, maybe singing "I Saw Her Standing There."The newest version of the Mamas and the Papas combines John Phillips, his daughter MacKenzie Phillips (remember her on "On Day at a Time"?), Scott MacKenzie and Spanky MacFarlane, who once sang with Spanky and Our Gang.

Admission to the Mamas and Papas (part of the Nostalgia Music Series) is free with paid park admission or an Unlimited Ride Stamp. For further information, call Lagoon at 451-0101.
