The parents of an 18-year-old girl strangled in Central Park nearly two years ago filed a $25 million wrongful death suit against imprisoned "preppie" killer Robert E. Chambers.

Harry Lipsig, the lawyer for Steven and Ellen Levin, said the civil suit will hang over Chambers' head "like the sword of Damocles" that will strip him of any money he should gain in the future. The suit, filed in Manhattan's state Supreme Court on Thursday, charged that Chambers "did violently and criminally assault, batter and choke" Jennifer Dawn Levin on Aug. 26, 1986.
