The Utah State Historical Society is sponsoring a reduced admission day for silver displays at its museum, 300 Rio Grande.

Admission will be $1 per person on July 25 in conjunction with the Days of `47 celebration in Salt Lake City. The museum will be open from noon to 8 p.m."Silver in the Golden State" and "Silver in the Beehive State" are the titles of two exhibits now on display at the museum. Notarianni said that featured in the exhibits are a stunning silver mounted saddle used in the Rose Parade and the original silver spike driven at Promontory, Box Elder County, on May 10, 1869.
