Classes, tours and individual consulting will be offered free at the Utah Valley Regional Family History Center July 24.

The genealogy library, which is located on the fourth floor of the Lee Library at Brigham Young University, will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.Specialists in the areas of North America, Eastern and Western Europe, and Great Britain will assist anyone seeking information about the regions.

Classes will begin at 9:30 a.m., with instruction on how to use Personal Ancestry File software. A class on the U.S. Census will be held at the same time. At 10:30 a.m., patrons will learn how to use the world's largest genealogical indexes.

An advanced course in PAF software will be offered at 11 a.m. To pre-register for the software classes, call 378-6200.

Other classes include "Beginning Research" at 3 p.m. and "How to Use the BYU Library" at 4 p.m.
