EFI Electronics Corp. had revenues of $2.13 million for the first quarter of fiscal 1989 ended July 1, the highest in the company's history and an increase of 69 percent from $1.26 million in the same period last year.

Net income rose 145 percent to a record $392,249, or 4 cents per share, from $160,400, or 2 cents per share in the first quarter of fiscal 1988."First quarter results are due to strong sales in all segments of the company's business," said George O. Stewart president, "coupled with shipment of more than 50 percent of a previously announced $800,000 initial purchase order to Leviton Manufacturing Co."

Salt Lake-based EFI manufactures electrical devices designed to protect computer equipment against hardware failure and data disruptions.
