A motorcyclist was in good condition Saturday with leg injuries suffered in an early morning hit-and-run accident on State Street.

A Holy Cross Hospital nursing supervisor said Herbert Greene, 31, Dugway, was admitted following the 2:19 a.m. accident.Witnesses told Salt Lake City police that Greene was northbound on State Street when a car traveling south turned left at Herbert Avenue (1110 South) and into the cyclist.

Greene's left leg was trapped under the motorcycle after the car struck its front tire and gas tank, a police report said.

The hit-and-run vehicle was described as a two-door sedan with Wyoming plates.
