About 140 Indians Saturday began the final leg of their 450-mile journey to reclaim what they say is a sacred stone quarry near Pipestone, Minn.

The Indians say someone has been stealing stone from a quarry at the Pipestone National Monument in southwestern Minnesota to make trinkets for tourists.About 140 Yankton, Crow Creek, Cheyenne River and Standing Rock Sioux from South Dakota and North Dakota left Flandreau Saturday on the 30-mile walk to Pipestone.

The Indians began their march last week near the Lower Brule reservation on the Missouri River in South Dakota.
