Warrants have been issued for the arrest of a California couple suspected of stealing jewelry and gold valued at $150,000 from the owner of a Panguitch Lake lodge.
The Garfield County Sheriff has issued warrants for John Zovich, also known as Jack, and Kimberly Zovich, who sometimes goes by the surnames of Lockwood or Rogers. They are believed to be in California.The couple was working for Alfred Olthof, owner of the Deer Trail Lodge at Panguitch Lake, according to Kathy Holt of the Sheriffs office.
The theft was reported by Otlhof, who said he had set the jewelry in his vehicle and was planning to put it in a safe deposit box.
Sheriff Robert Judd said the jewelry included gold, diamonds and rubies.
The incident occurred at about 9:30 a.m. when a window was kicked out the vehicle.
