A man accused of cheating people out of thousands of dollars faces a June 8 trial.
Thomas M. Tebbs, 49, is charged with 11 counts of communications fraud. He is accused of selling unregistered debenture notes to members of American Drivers Legal Services, an automobile club whose last address was 1390 S. 11th East.Tebbs pleaded not guilty Friday before 3rd District Judge Richard Moffat.
Charges against a co-defendant, Kyle Hans Sorenson, have been dismissed for lack of evidence.
Tebbs, vice president of the auto club, and Sorenson, sales manager, were charged with 24 felony counts in March 1987 as a result of an investigation that turned up 17 victims who lost more than $200,000 in the alleged scam.
