Winfried H."Wynn" Hubrich, Bountiful, a veteran of 22 years with the U.S. Postal Service, has been named the new postmaster in Missoula, Mont., and manager of the new management sectional center there.
Hubrich, who is currently field director of support services for the Salt Lake City division, was sworn in Friday at the Missoula Main Post Office. He plans to move his family to Montana this summer.A native of East Germany, Hubrich escaped from there with his family in 1952. He joined the Postal Service as a distribution clerk in Salt Lake City in 1966, became a mail handler, worked his way through college and earned a degree in design engineering from Brigham Young University. In 1973, he went into postal management as a postal operations specialist.
To get to know his new job, Hubrich says, he plans to spend his first week in Missoula doing a variety of postal jobs - working as a letter carrier, window clerk, mail processing night shift employee and rural letter carrier.
