Harley-Davidson of Salt Lake will move from its 40-year-old site at 872 S. State to a new location in South Salt Lake later this year, a spokesman said.

Joe Timmons, owner of the dealership for the past five years, said the new 10,000 square foot facility at 2928 S. State will be more efficient and include parking.Construction of the $300,000 building began this month and occupancy is scheduled for November. Timmons said the new facility will require an increase in the dealership staff of eight people.

Funding for the building, part of a South Salt Lake redevelopment project, was provided in part by Deseret Certified Development Co., the spokesman said.
