Two Price men have been arraigned in 11th Circuit Court in Castle Dale on four charges, including first-degree murder and aggravated kidnapping, in the death of Gary Webb, 31, also of Price.

Emery County Sheriff Lamar Guymon said Webb's body was found last week in a grave in a hilly area near the Horse Canyon mine inside the Emery County line. Webb had been missing since March 1.Webb died of multiple gunshot wounds in the head and chest, Guymon said. The body had been buried several weeks.

Charged with first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated robbery and obstruction of justice were James Dee Evans, 23, and Stacy Ray Peterson, 20.

Eleventh Circuit Court Judge A. John Ruggeri set bail at $100,000 each. Both men remain in the Emery County Jail.

The judge set a bail hearing April 5 and a preliminary hearing April 12.

Leads in the murder came during an investigation by Price City police into the burglary of Webb's Price hotel room. Price City Police Chief Alex Shilaos said the two and another man were arrested for investigation of third-degree burglary. A fourth man was arrested on related charges.
