A St. George man pleaded guilty in 5th District Court on Monday to six charges relating to a string of burglaries and arsons.

Kurvin A. Gordon, 29, entered the guilty pleas to charges he set fire to two businesses and a Mormon Church chapel and burglarized three other St. George businesses.In exchange for Gordon's pleas, prosecutors dropped six other burglary charges against him.

Judge J. Philip Eves set sentencing for Aug. 15, and Gordon remained in the Washington County Jail on $100,000 bond.
