For his contributions to the prevention of drunken driving, Gus Paulos, owner of Paulos Chevrolet Co., will receive Highland Ridge Hospital's third annual distinguished service award for 1988 during a banquet March 23. Colleen Bangerter, the state's first lady, will present the award to Paulos.
Anyone living in Utah the past few years is likely to recall billboards, radio commercial and other advertising encouraging Utahns to think about the grave consequences of drinking and driving, said the hospital's Richard Bell."Gus Paulos' unselfish contribution to the prevention of drunken driving has had a significant impact on our community awareness over the past six years. Each Christmas, Gus spends tens of thousands of dollars making people aware of the dangers involved with drinking and driving," Bell said.
