The reason a Sandy youth died after spending the night on his parents' front lawn with his brother and a friend will not be known until autopsy results are returned in 10 to 15 days.

Brian Ingebrigtsen, 15, was pronounced dead at Alta View Hospital Saturday after his brother tried unsuccessfully to arouse him earlier in the morning. The two brothers and a friend spent the night in the yard after returning from a party Friday evening, said Sgt. Gary Saville. The State Medical Examiner's office performed an autopsy later in the day Saturday, but lab work on the youth's blood will take up to two weeks, Saville said.
