Singers and songwriters Kenneth Cope and Julie de Azevedo will perform on Monday at Hogle Zoo, west of the zoo's center plaza.

A Salt Lake City native, Cope recently released a solo album "Heaven Can Wait" and produced "Sailin' Home," an easy-listening album. His "Win the Race" album will be released in August.Cope has been recognized for his musical score for a short film by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences. He attended the High School of Performing Arts in Houston.

Julie de Azevedo is a Brigham Young University student and professional performer. She is one of three featured performers in the "Lightwave Concerts" series and will release a solo album, "Julie", this month.

Musical performances have been organized for Monday evenings through July by radio station KUTR, (860 AM).

Also on Monday, Domino's Pizza will provide a slice of pizza and a cup of Sprite for 86 cents with all proceeds going to adopt one of the zoo's gibbons in the remodeled primate house.
