In the Salt Lake incident, Hautau, 28, died at 7:05 a.m. Saturday in LDS Hospital from multiple stab wounds to the chest, a hospital official said.

The two Salt Lake men were at an all-night party in a clubhouse at the rear of a home at 1291 Iola Ave. (340 South) when a disagreement erupted into a fight, said police Lt. Tom Brown.

An officer spotted a man in a car. Following a foot chase, officers apprehended a man several blocks from the stabbing scene at 760 S. Jeremy St. (850 West), Brown said.

Neighbors of Strieby, 41, called the Tooele County sheriff's office after hearing shots fired about 7:30 p.m. Friday at the family's home, No. 4 Mill Pond, Stansbury Park, authorities said. The victim had been shot at close range.
