Apricot lovers are invited to participate in the park's annual apricot harvest, beginning Monday at 9 a.m.

The annual event provides fruit for those willing to pick it themselves, and proceeds are used to help defray the cost of maintaining the historic orchards. Park Superintendent Martin C. Ott said apricots will be 15 cents a pound, $5 a bushel, or $4 if four or more bushels are picked. The park provides ladders.
