oh no! | 6:12 p.m. Sept. 26, 2008
the movie looks nothing like twilight! it looks more dark! i can't believe it! everyone looks good, except for Edward! please! they could have gotten someone a lot better than him!
Not what I hoped for | 1:02 p.m. Oct. 1, 2008
Yes, Twilight is intense toward the end. However, I'm hoping they put a whole lot of romance in the movie, like the book. Nothing over the top, but the meadow scene better be done well!! I don't want to see it if they make it a suspense film, rather than a romance.

I think the movie is going to be awesome. Everyone just needs to keep in mind the movie is not always exactly like the book. Keep an open mind and it will be fun.

Actually, Edward looks like he's that English actor that was in the last Harry Potter movie. You know, the one who got killed in the maze in a fight with Voldemort. If that's who it is, I think he is perfect casting for Edward. He really fits the description of Edward in the book.

I loved the first book (in spite of the fact that a lot of it was kind of a silly teenage romance). The first book was the best, I think. If they emphasize it as a suspense thriller, I will love the movie.

I think the trailer looks AWESOME!!!

the romance is terrible, good thing the movie is focusing more on the action.
I also think thins movie will be kind of cheesy. the books are really good, but when you tell someone about the story it kind of sounds dumb. So i don't know if a movie can do it well enough in the short amount of time they have.
Dissapointing | 5:41 p.m. Oct. 18, 2008
Movie looks like it's going to slaughter the book. The actor that is playing Edward is nothing like in the book and neither are any of the other vampires. I'll see it just because the books were amazing and I have to... but I'm not expecting much.

It's going to be awful. Even if it weren't for the fact that the movie will be nothing like the book, it would still be awful. Hollywood ruins most things.

I think the casting of Kristin Stewart is a very good decision. While she isn't quite how I pictured her, she's a very gifted young actress, and she plays the sullen outcast quite well.

I don't think the movie will measure up to the book, since it is a very long novel. A lot will have to be taken out to keep the film at a normal running time. I think it'll be difficult to adapt the intense romance they have because of how internal much of the novel is. The reason why her attachment to Edward is so strong probably won't make sense on film.

Also, I don't think there's any actor who could have played Edward and lived up to our expectations, at least not without some serious CGI to render his skin the way Meyer portrays it in the books.

I think the books were fun. Cheesy, yes, but fun. The casting is wonderful. Kristen's gorgeous...Robert's adorable. I can't wait to see it. Give it a chance.

At first, to the books, I was intrigued. But after much listening to the gushings of female teenagers to Edward's "perfection", I had turned my head. However, my mind wasn't completly closed: I'm very interested to see the movie, but I wqas never one for romance, so Twilight as a suspence film sounds like a good deal to me.

Don't plan on reading the books, so the movie had better be good.

I am so pumped for this movie, I am going to the 12:15 AM showing and cannot wait! I have only read the first one and loved, what most of you are saying is, the "silly teenage romance". I think that is the whole point of these books. I am so excited to see the movie and I am sure it will be great!
So excited | 3:31 p.m. Oct. 30, 2008
I am very excited for this movie! I loved loved loved the books, I thought they might have been a little cheesy but I was one of those that said I was never going to read the books and that they sounded so stupid. But they were amazing. I can't wait for the movies and my poor husband is taking me to the 12:15 AM showing. I hated who they chose for Edward because he's supposed to be so amazing but he does grow on you, I've watched trailers and interviews and he does grow on you. Bella was a perfect match and the cast is amazing. Jacob is hot! I'm so so excited!

The book is wonderful, so I have high expectations for the movie. The casting of Robert Pattinson as Edward is perfect. I think the chemistry he and Kristen Stewart have will show through really well. I am excited beyond words to see the book come alive on the big screen. I anticipate seeing it several times.

I am really excited for the movie. I am keeping an open mind so I don't get mad when it is not like the book. I loved all the books so if it is anything like them, I will love it.

I went to the midnight showing, and I loved the movie! I am 38 yrs old, and I thought it actually followed the book very well. Edward intially was a little disappointing, but throughout the movie he grew on me. It has humor, romance, and action. The teenagers are going to love this movie! It is a great escape!
Great movie | 4:03 p.m. Nov. 22, 2008
Just came back from the movie. From a guy who is normally very critical about movies and really enjoyed the books it was almost perfect. The trailers did not do it justice at all. Congrats on pleasing the fans. The rest will have to go read the books to figure out what's going on.

Anonymous | 11:21 a.m. Nov. 25, 2008
Loved the actors for Bella, Esme, Emmett, Renee, Charlie, Billy, Rosalie, Jessica and Mike; hated everyone else. It was better than I thought it would be, but still horribly dissapointing. I hope they can do better with the next one...
