Notice how it's always "the children" and no names are being used? Wonder why that is?

Those mothers should be with their children. I don't know the "right or wrong" of this situation, but can you imagine if a Catholic school was raided ... or a Baptist summer camp! I hope that God will help to see that the right thing is done.

I agree it is always the children and no names. I believe it is because he cannot remember all their names or his wives names. I believe in God and Jesus and I am not here to judge but when a crime is being commited that is why we have laws. They keep saying they do not know WHY, but I think they do and they are to afraid to say anything. These women and children are brain washed to believe what the men in the community tell them and that is all. I think it is a sad situation all around, but believe the children are safe now.

?All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing?

why would a father have a picture of a man who was found guilty of molesting children on his wall?

I really feel shocked about this situation, I'm a LDS Member not a FLDS (making clear, LOL!) and i see how much suffer this people by watching how their children have been taking from their side. Im not an expert about laws in rules, and as farest i know i think this land has the freedom to belive in whatever they want. I honestly understand that, im not against any religion, but what i found unfair is that if there is something irregular about this relgion like poligamy then the legal authorities must DO something to stop it, and that's a law. If i were the mother & i see someone is doing to my kids i will totally do everthing to help them out, PEOPLE WAKE UP!!!!!!

This case is about child abuse, not religious freedom. Where are "the children's" toys and books? Not one in toy or children's book the house! I'm glad Texas is doing what Utah and Arizona can't and/or won't.

These women keep saying they are law abiding. They aren't! 13,14,15,16 year old girls are being married to much older men! As for the comment about "what if they came in and raided a Catholic school?" I'm so tired of hearing this. The beliefs of the people are that God wants them to "marry" multiple wives, underage and so on. As far as I know, this is not the belief of Catholics. Let's stop making comments that make no sense. If the Catholic schools were marrying men to underage girls, then yes they should be raided too!

They keep saying that the children have never been abused until now. The children did not know what abuse was, therefore marrying at 14 and being molested by older men was all they knew. They (chldren) had no idea this was wrong and tis was abuse. How can a mother let this happen to their children?

This is the only man I've seen interviewed. Where is the leader of the compound? He doesn't have guts enough to go on Larry King? These people have LOTS of money - where's the full page ad in the Houston Chronicle?

I pray the F LDS folks are reading these comments.
I also wondered, bare walls, no toys, no books, that place didn't even look as comfy as a builder's Model Home. Those men need to get a clue, if your religion means to condone practices totally outside of Texas Law, by golly dude, you will certainly feel persecuted

This IS NOT RELIGIOUS PERSECUTION! Polygamy is against the law! Having sex with anyone under the age of 18 (16 in Texas) is against the law! This is a law thing, not a religious thing. I just cannot understand why this group does not feel they need to follow the law, expect no consequences, and expect that same law to be just after the fact. There is some serious brain washing going on here. There are many LDS followers living their live without their children being taken away. These poor children, either way, they are going to be affected. I do feel bad for them, they do not know better. And it sounds like most of the women and a couple of the men don't know either. I will be praying the children get the help they need, the love and care they need and as little trauma as possible.

I have watched the videos. These people show no emotions, they are all so brain washed. I am a foster parent in Texas ,I was ask to take some of these children, but I refused, because I do have three very troubled teen boys in my home at this time, and I feel it would not be justice to the FLDS children, nor my boys. There is no way they could live in harmony, since the FLDS children know nothing of society, and my boys are street smart.

You people do not have all the information on what has gone inside of this place! I am not against any religion, beleive what you want to beleive in, but every body that keeps talking crap, has no give me that anything thing has gone on, so give your opinions but who really knows what went on? Only the people that lived there!! You can not base something on a phone call, come on!! I am not saying that everything was right that went on, but you are innocent until proven guilty!! Everyone believes the media now days, some say this is a new day and age and it is wrong of these children to be in this place, but what has this new day and age gave to us, all you here about on the news, is murder, death, arson, rapes!! I don't see anything wrong about living the old fashion way, as long it is law abbiding, and right!! Obviously i wouldn't live that away since i am on this computer right now, but i think everyone is entitled to there own way of living, as long as there is no harm!!

Why do they call the YFZ Ranch a compound! When I was in third Grade, I learnd that a compound is two words or objects to make a whole.
