There needs to be a shake-up of the board of trustees first. Some are important but not all. I don't know much about Burton but many question his qualifications. The vast problems of the University are due to an ineffective and careless, passive direction from this group.

How about Matthew Holland. He has done amazing things at UVU and would be an excellent person to smooth over some of the damaged relationships.

I hope you will go back and notice that when Mary was removed without reason, there were about 3,999 others of us standing up and protesting daily.

As a cancer researcher, I didn't come here for the University, although it's great. I came to work at the Huntsman. His generosity, hundreds of millions, has made this possible. When you donate money under certain conditions, the acceptor is bound to follow them. If you don't want his money, you need to stop accepting it. But I can assure you, had the U not accepted his money, your world class cancer center would be in a different state. It's not just him, there are 4K of us that feel this way.

Why 24 people when only 1 person's opinion really matters? What a waste of time.

They had better make sure they ask the Huntsman's for their approval before they select a new president! Actually, given the current climate at the U, and the reason for the current president to step down, I highly doubt they will find a highly qualified candidate, who would want to be in the position Pershing was faced with.
