I disagree. Trumpcare is not any better in its current form and that is why people are upset. Republicans could solve it but they are beholden to special interest just like democrats.

Trump just wants the healthcare win and then he will pass the blame on to congress when people realize it is a bad policy as well.

"Rather than discusss Russian collusion, he avoided it. Which, btw, most Americans know that trump colluded with Russia as polls show."

Oh, they know? When are they going to present this evidence to the FBI? The FBI will surely need it, because they're not finding any at the moment!

Just because YOU do not agree with them does not make them cowardly. Speaking out for what’s correct against the PC crowd actually requires a lot of courage.

    Shaun
I remember the townhalls of which you speak, people were expressing extreme displeasure because of a very bad bill those holding the townhalls had passed, Obamacare. The current batch of disrupters, whose behavior has been worse than those of earlier meetings, are doing so not because of any legislation, but because the election did not go their way. It’s quite a difference.

“some of you need to stop posting fake news” only some? I suppose that means liberal are still OK to post fake news.

Most Americans know that trump colluded with Russia. Really? How do they KNOW that? Perhaps a majority THINK that, but as the dems have yet to come up with proof, it’s still speculation.

Most Americans know, yeah, right… some of you need to stop posting fake news and overcome your addictions to far left wing news and violence apologists

    Get educated.

Some of you need to stop posting fake news. Those who complained to Chaffetz at his town hall meeting in salt lake weren't paid protestors nor were they acting out instead of discussing issues. They wanted to discuss issues. Serious issues, like health care and collusion between Donald and Russia. Jason however, antagonized the crowd and refused to give them microphones, forcing them to yell to be heard.

Rather than discusss Russian collusion, he avoided it. Which, btw, most Americans know that trump colluded with Russia as polls show. And it shows also in Donald's strong 60 percent disapproval rate. Perhaps jason should've placed country in front of very unpopular person?

No matter, if any of those 11 hope to represent those in salt lake, they need to appear before salt lake constitutents and discuss these issues. You cannot hide in Utah county and expect to represent salt lake. Sorry, that's not how it works. Public servants need to serve all, not just those addicted to far right wing news and Donald apologists.

Attended and found it useful. Well run. Candidates had plenty of chances to talk with all of the delegates face to face. I heard many candidates fielding tough questions and doing a decent, though a bit hackneyed job, at answering questions.

And to one person's letter here, YES, organizers, put everyone on stage on decent chairs, NEVER stools. The three women handled it with grace and decorum.

After several face to face interviews, listening to the candidates debate, hearing the pithy mini-speeches, reading their literature and having phone calls with most, my assessment matrix allows me to winnow the field down to the top 3 for me.

I'm reporting objectively what everyone said last night to everyone in my precinct and telling them why I've selected the three I have. They will let me know what they think. Then Saturday I'll cast my representative ballot for one.

Great representative democracy microcosm in action. Thanks the candidates and teams, diligent delegates and sponsors of the meetings that have been held so we could better assess the candidates. 3rd District has at least 5 excellent people who will represent it well in DC.

I remember the Obamacare townhalls were not cordial by republicans. So republicans can not claim that democrats are the only ones who are rude at townhalls.

    @impartial,

No, they are in Lehi so they can talk about the real issues with their real constituents. They aren't avoiding issues; they are avoiding detractors who have nothing productive to contribute to the conversation and just want to disrupt, yell, scream, etc. like liberals have done since Nov. 9th. Is having a productive discussion bad?

@Impartial7 " Are they afraid of dealing with real issues?"

I'm sure they don't want an earful about healthcare. They need to hear the people.

Could somebody please show some respect to female candidates and not place everyone on a high stool? It must be pretty awkward sitting in a dress on one of those for over an hour.

    Just sayin'.

Impartial7 - No. They wish to avoid the rude, crude behavior of those who sole purpose will be to hijack and then disrupt the meeting.

More of the same cowardly "leadership". Lehi? How about meeting in the gerrymandered areas of Salt Lake County? Are they afraid of dealing with real issues?
