UNH (University of New Hampshire) is a party school in Durham, New Hampshire.
Unless you have a vehicle you won't get to many games. Durham is known as
a college town. Been there, done that
Several articles in the past year about crime being under-reported at BYU for
fear of being hauled into the Honor Code office. I suspect BYU-Idaho has
similar circumstances. Under-reporting helps the ranking.
USU will never be completely safe until they get rid of their football team,
(just look at this past year and how many articles were about football players
raping or committing crimes.) They made a lot of progress getting rid of
some of the frat houses, but they could do better and get rid of the remaining
ones. Until then, I won't recommend anyone send their kids there.
I have to question the methodology for this study that lands an atmosphere like
Pullman, Washington ahead of communities like Logan or Provo. Washington State
is one of the biggest party schools known.
USU is currently safer, that is the answer, no need to spin it.
The College Formerly Known as Ricks is a wonderful place to go to school. And a
very safe place.
Students need to take an active roll in their campus safety. Evaluate routes to
and from school. What are your walking, biking, car driving & parking
conditions. Vary times and routes. Be with friends and other students. Women
should not take night classes alone. Even men should consider taking night
classes with a friend. After hour activities like sporting evens, dances,
concerts, and parties need to be with groups. Nothing can eliminate all of the
trouble in your environment but you can minimize it.
