@Nerval you opined...."Utah's advanced academic
trajectory..."?Now that gave me a good laugh... Thank you.The U of U is a research institution which is more interested in chasing
Federal Grant dollars than they are concerned with Academics, with it's
tenured Professors spending a whopping 4 hrs. a week in the classroom, on 6
figure salaries.The U of U is a 2nd tier academic institution and
always will be.Own it.Utah's only top tier academic
institution resides in Provo Utah.btw ... I am a Utah alumnus.
NoNamesAccepted:Your having served a mission had no basis in your
failure to obtain admission into Utah's prestigious graduate schools. You
just didn't meet their bar. So quit whining about it and just apply at

He hadn't the requisite merits to get into Utah's Law school. So he
went to the Univ. of Wyoming. And now he's a BAR certified attorney.
Lets finally pick a president for our flagship public university who will

Before they make a decision on a new president, they had better humbly ask
Huntsman for his approval, or we will be seeing more full page adds.

the interview. Benson from Eastern or is it Western Kentucky with a Cambridge
credential on his resume, would probably another name that would be wonderful to
be added to the mix. The best of luck with the search.
Our last 2 university presidents wound up being beneath standards. Smith failed
to maintain the advanced academic trajectory Pres. Machen put us on. In fact,
he allowed the U to slip a few spots. And Pershing hadn't the backbone
needed for the job. Let's not make the same mistake thrice.Go
Just give it to a Huntsman - they seem to know what's best for the U.
