Counties seek state funds to offset burden of criminal justice reform

    Maybe the Counties should cede their responsibility of enforcement and confinement to the state? Maybe they could use their tax authority to fund the issue.

    Everybody wants a handout and that is the fundamental cause of the ills of our society.

    The state budget takes a terrible hit with the Medicaid budget as it is without an expansion. They need to look more carefully at who really needs to be on Medicaid and get everyone off that doesn't have to be on it. Or, have it be more of a short term solution and try and help people get insurance through their employers. Also, push employers to offer affordable insurance.
