Oh, c'mon--Field goal kicks in minor bowls are all well and fine, but the
Planned Parenthood chart gaffe is what most people will remember about this guy.
Let's get real. That look on his face is frozen in time.
Grateful I had the opportunity to meet and work with the Congressman on military
issues. There was little doubt where he stood personally on most issues ... if
one was willing to actually dialogue rather than pontificate.
Just another example of GOP failures. After 8 years of fighting everything Obama
proposed, 8 years of continual filibusters (more than the total number of
filibusters in the entire history of the Unites States to that date), after
wasting years of investigating Bengazi and other non-issues, Chaffetz failed to
investigate Trump's campaign contacts with Russia, Trump's many
conflicts of interest, and potential corruption. The GOP has proven to be so
fragmented as to render the party incapable of governing, led by a crooked,
immoral, misogynist. It is not surprising that the person in charge of
investigating Republican shenanigans feels the need to get out, and get out now.
I would have had more respect for him if he had pursued Trump's
follies with the same zeal he pursued Hillary's fictional misdemeanors.
the government chews up and spits out another
It is rather hard to believe that Chaffetz really wants to spend more time with
his family when he can no longer look his daughter in the eye.
Ironically, the most important thing Chaffetz did was something he didn't
do: investigate Donald Trump's myriad ethical breaches and possible
collusion with the Russians to steal an election.
Wow, self serving...His list of failures mus be huge. No mention of how he
represented his constituents...
Don't forget whining about Benghazi, chasing Hillary long after there was
any need, lying to town hall attendees, and never returning messages or letters
So what exactly has Chaffetz accomplished as a representative? It's pretty
sad when his "memorable moments" don't include anything that
actually benefited his constituents.
Was the crowd at Brighton merely "opposed to Trump's election," or
were they upset because even after Trump won, Chaffetz continued to investigate
Clinton but refused to investigate Trump? Chairing the House Committee on
Oversight and Reform in such a blatantly partisan way needs to be included on a
list like this.
Really? No mention on his nationally televised Planned Parenthood
"investigation" where he embarrassed himself with his non-functional
chart and misrepresenting facts? That was a major moment.
