Maybe they should sing.....Lets get down to business to revise history. I have
seen the new Beauty and the Beast and it has some great new songs &
Cinematography. Also the Controversy surrounding the gay etc issue is proof
positive how both sides(Including Disney) pro and con are hilariously fanatical.
No there is no open homosexual displays so those pro LGBT can point fingers
against others who disagree with them on that. However to say there are no
Homosexual innuendos as in Lefou's hinted displays for Gaston and the
final dance sing or the happy man dressed as a lady in the final battle scene
by the wardrobe would have to label LGBT advocates who say there is no such
attempts to nudge your acceptance of it as ignorant or decietful. Being someone
who when I see fiction or nonfiction art with a historical back drop like them
to be as authentic to the culture and timeperiod they are portraying makes some
parts of this new adaptation comical as well as superb about 18th Century
france . Although at one point I humurously thought Emma Watson was about to rip
off her dress and display Hillary clinton suit pants in 21st century Femminist
Not a fan of rehashing the same old stories every few years. Good grief!
producers need to take more risks and tell new stories.
"Beauty and the Beast" simply opens the door just a crack to let in a
tiny bit of "non-traditional" values. Why couldn't they release it
on Touchstone, a Disney brand specifically designed for more controversial
attitudes? Once the door is open, you can never close it. The only changes we
will see in the future will be more and more of the same. I guess it's
more important to Disney to cultivate a narrow band of viewership and throw away
the majority of their past supporters - like me, for example. Making
a female "Mulan" more of a man is just one more step in the wrong
direction. If you can't see it now, it would appear that the time is not
far off when you won't feel safe about taking your kids to a Disney movie
anymore. This is a travesty!
"The problem I see is they are also trying to change the morality to fit
their broad range of viewers too. I feel that will be their undoing." Yup.
Disney continues to fail at coming out with new, family oriented, films, either
animated or otherwise. So, why not remake successful movies? The problem I see
is they are also trying to change the morality to fit their broad range of
viewers too. I feel that will be their undoing.
