It just wouldn't be America if the Moral Majority weren't outraged
Minaj is getting exactly what she wants. Even the "prudes" are talking
about her video. That is money in the bank for her!
Attacks on morals will continue to intensify, especially as society becomes more
and more desensitized to the content.
All of these videos follow the same simple recipe. Madonna perfected it in the
'80's and Elvis before that. Shock people and violate morality and you
will be rewarded. The only way to combat it is to use it as
motivation to go out and do good things with and for your kids. Overcome
darkness with light.I know the author of this Deseret News article
meant well, but she fell right into the trap. This article probably generated a
few thousand more views for the video.
Even the serpent was disgusted.
If you don't like her music, don't listen to it and don't let
your kids listen to it. If you don't like her video don't watch it and
don't let your kids watch it. See, easy, problem solved. If you can't
control YOUR kids that's YOUR problem.
The modern entertainment industry has an open and stated agenda of promoting
substance abuse and wanton sexuality. Part of this agenda includes an attempt to
destroy traditional marriage and family. Modern Hollywood
portrays marriage as a burdensome institution to be scorned and ridiculed.
Indeed, Hollywood treats marriage as something to be avoided at all costs.Unfortunately, an impressionable public has begun to imitate what is
shown on television and movies. As a result, the rates of illegitimacy and
disease are skyrocketing. The irrefutable fact is that wanton,
uncontrolled sexuality does have harmful effects for both the individual and
society. Shame on those who seek to impose this harm.
