Yeah baby! Can't wait for PAC12 play to start. The best conference in the
nation.Love our PAC12 membershipGo Utes!
It should be more of a scrimmage, we should beat ISU like we did Weber State
last year.Fresno State will be the first true test. But
still I can't wait for the season to begin, I'll be at the game next
Can't wait because we are so good in the nation just wait and see how good
we are!Go Utes!
Never in the history of college football has putting a free sticker on your car
made your rivals so frantic and hurt. Can't wait to get the
season started. I think the team is ready to take a step forward despite a
daunting schedule.Go Utes!
Never in the history of college football has a team's "fans" been
so jealous of another team's conference and schedule.
ekute, ya BYU fans are sooooo jealous of the uties and their 2-7 pac ten
schedule/record. What next, were going to be jealous of your new
head coach in November too?
Never in the history of college football has a team done less to deserve
inclusion and enjoy their inside benefits and still boast they are prestigious
with a straight face. It's easy to cheer for the U
athletes...hard to support some of their delusional fans.
Max-was-rightspringville, UT"ekute, ya BYU fans are sooooo
jealous of the uties and their 2-7 pac ten schedule/record".@
Max,Sammy, Oh you're jealous alright, to the point of obsession. Your
posts using multiple screen names show that, and one can feel your angst over
what's coming down for the Y. Your reaction when she reaches her end is
going to be interesting to watch.
Can't wait for the butt-kickings to begin in the great PAC-10+2.Go Bruins! Our stickers emphasize 111 national championships, so there is
something to say for free stickers.
We are in the best conference in the country and that's all that matters.
I'd rather lose every game in the PAC12 than be an Indy-Wacy team. Just
FYI I have proudly have 5 PAC12 decals on my car...so what?Go
Old But Not Stupid,We're not stupid either. We all know that
like many byu "fans", you latched on to the coat tails of the rest of
the PAC when Utah joined. Go Utes.
Haha in Pac 11-1 and can't win and can't win good teams. At least
we win really good teams. Top 80 or top 90 teams and we win easy.
So those of you who are calling it the PAC 10+2 or 11-1 must be saying that CAL
and Colorado don't belong because they are the bottom two of the
conference. Utah has a way to go in order to move up, but at least we're
moving. This is going to be a great year. Can't wait to see how my Utes
MAX: I understand where you are coming from with your obsession concerning the
Utes.I guess the record of the last 12 games the Utes played your
Cougars is hard to take.Loose 3 of 12, loose 4 in a row and
54-10......OUCH!!!They can't as bad as you keep saying they
Can't wait for the season to start so that we can actually talk about
football and not about speculation. This season is going to be
awesome. Wassu, USC, Arizona and Oregon at home - that is a lot to look forward
to. With ASU and UCLA so close, I will probably travel to those games too.
It's no wonder byU fan is so jealous - UNLV and Savannah St as their entire
November home schedule? Ugh! I hope they can get people to attend those games.
They should honor the seniors at half time on senior day, because nobody will
be in a hurry to get to that game, and everybody will be gone by the fourth
quarter. What a horrible way to honor the seniors!Go Utes!!
@Old But Not StupidCan't wait for the butt-kickings to begin in the
great PAC-10+2.Go Bruins! Our stickers emphasize 111 national
championships, so there is something to say for free stickers.-------------------Can't beat us so might as well pretend to
be a fan of a team that can? Never in the history of college
football has a fan-base jumped on so many bandwagons just to talk trash to their
rival. There are less PAC-12 stickers in Utah than there are BYU fans
pretending to be ASU, Washington, UCLA, and USC fans. We even a fan pretending
to be from Miami "The Real U".That truly is sad!Go UTES!
@Weber State GraduateClearfield, UTNever in the history of
college football has a team done less to deserve inclusion and enjoy their
inside benefits and still boast they are prestigious with a straight face.----------------I agree, that's why BYU (aka
"legacy program" down south) is still on the outside begging for P5
I LOVE the idea of putting the Ute Tribal Seal on the helmets. I wonder if all
of this positive relationship building with the tribe is making Samantha
Eldridge upset since she's spearheading the movement to get rid of the
ekute"Old But Not Stupid,We're not stupid either. We
all know that like many byu "fans", you latched on to the coat tails of
the rest of the PAC when Utah joined. Go Utes."You may not be
stupid but you are badly informed. I "latched on to[UCLA] coat tails with
degrees in 1967 and 1975---and yes, it was great to be a Bruin during Coach
Wooden's last 9 years. UCLA was in a couple of "west" and
"coast" conferences that morphed into the PAC-8, then the PAC-10, and
now the PAC-10+2. Hope this history lesson is helpful.Uteology"Never in the history of college football has a fan-base jumped on so many
bandwagons just to talk trash to their rival...... less PAC-12 stickers in Utah
than there are BYU fans pretending to be ASU, Washington, UCLA, and USC
fans."Utah is not UCLA's rival. I admit I lack respect for
the crimson crew who will skew and twist any fact (and some "facts" that
are not factual) to put down your little/big brother down South. I
don't hit a man when he's down (for any reason), so I'll back off
Lot's of hot air blowing in from the South today. tds fans must be up to
something. Maybe getting ready to play against the a couple of elite high
schools and pee wee league football. But, we already know which bowl game
they'll go to and lose in.However, with the Utes....anything
can happen for them!
It's been a few years since the utes were in game mode.Good
luck against ISU.
Gordon Monson summed things up perfectly regarding BYU in the college football
landscape: "They are alone"They thought Notre Dame was
their friend. Not so much, it seems. They currently believe games
scheduled against PAC schools must mean an imminent invitation to the P5. Not
so much on that one, either, as PAC schools are using BYU the same way they use
Fresno.TCU was invited to the Big-12 less than 24 hours after their
Athletic Director went out for drinks with DeLoss Dodd (the AD at Texas and
defacto head of the Big-12 before his retirement), while BYU fans were
frantically tracking private jets flying out of Texas toward the West, and Tom
Holmoe was calling every person in America he thought could get BYU in the
door. Now we're seeing chatter among some BYU fans that if they
(somehow) go undefeated this year, they will have to be included in the
playoffs. You could say this is another "Quest for Perfection".Slow learners, they.
@Liberal TedThere is not an exciting thing happening in provo until senior
night, then mighty Savannah State comes to town. Unitl then we will be
overwhelmed with gibberish and gobbledygook.
@UteologyI could care less about BYU. The point is that
Utah didn't earn their way into the PAC, nor will they ever be significant
like obnoxious Ute fans believe. The only value Utah brings to the PAC is an
extra win for the PAC schools. But keep up the silly "prestigious"
bravado as that loss column keeps growing year by year.
Smack talk from Weber State?I love it!Sorry that the
truth hurts, but if Utah did not "earn their way into the PAC", Utah
would not be in the PAC. Nice try! But, please, come again. You
are entertaining as all get out.I do like the "I could care less
about BYU", although me thinks you doth protest too much.Go
Utes!!Onward and Upward!
worf:Thanks for your good wishes!Have fun with Savannah
State on senior day!
Weber State Graduate-"The point is that Utah didn't earn
their way into the PAC" Larry Scott disagrees with you. That's all
that matters.Besides that, there are plenty of teams in P5
conferences who have done less in football than Utah has.
At least most reasonable fans outside of Utah do realize that the Ute's and
BYU have almost no chance of ever getting into the football playoffs, but you
can always dream. A better option may be to just save money and drop the
programs and have an intramural system.
VegasUte"Sorry that the truth hurts, but if Utah did not
"earn their way into the PAC", Utah would not be in the PAC."LOL!Ask your fellow PAC 12 friends whether they think Utah
"earned their way into the PAC"; you might be surprised just how little
regard they have for the Utes.
Snack PAC--what did they do to earn their way in?Winning record,
television exposure, game attendance??
Weber State GradTake a closer look at what PAC12 schools are all
about (Research, academic excellence, and all sports excellence). Now look at
Utah. Great medical school, top 25 bio engineering program #1 video game
program, top business school in Utah. Top childrens hosptial in the west. top
cancer hospital in the west. All staffed primarily by University physicians and
residents. Great gymnastics program. Up and coming basketball program that has
history of top performances.Utah fit with the PAC12 is more to with
off the football field activities than on. But don't worry the football
team will catch up to the PAC12 caliber. At least you can boast one
of the nations top cheer programs. Other than that, probably best to heed the
wise words,"better to be thought the fool than to open ones mouth and remove
@ Snack PACWould those be the other 10 teams the voted for Utah and
CU to be accepted into the conf.? Yeah, I wonder what they would say.
@Snack PAC: As far as I understand, fans within the PAC 12 has NO decision
making responsibilities when it comes to deciding who deserves and does not
deserve to be in the conference. All that matters are the actual decision
makers, you believe that Utah DOES deserve to be in the conference, which is why
we are there.
Yes Liberal Ted, and we know what bowl the u is going to also.....enjoy your
couch potato bowl.....again! Let's hope the u can turn around the "lose
one more game than the prior year" progress. That steady downward spiral is
killing u, but u just can't see it. Enjoy your new rival, Colorado! Birds of a feather, flock together!
I'm definitely excited for the season to start. Utah's schedule is
just nasty, I hope we can win a few games we're not expected to. As for
BYU, I think they've been a bit unlucky with their schedules. They've
scheduled teams that were good or even great a few years back but are on down
years (Cal Virginia UCONN and Texas isn't what it usually is historically).
It's only a matter of time before their efforts pay off though and they
catch these teams on good years. UCF though should be pretty good this year, so
them and Texas is at least something. Utah State won't be a walk in the
park either. So both fan bases should be looking forward to a good year.
