Thanks for the update on Kyle's progress. This will be a great season with Elite 8 talent.

Phoenix, AZ

I really can't stand it when players run their mouths about "we're going to the elite 8" or "We're going to win a national championship". Those are great goals to discuss behind closed doors, not to the media. Let your play do the talking so when you lose to San Diego at home for some strange reason, you don't look like a fool. Then, IF you make it to the elite 8, you won't need to say "See, I said this a long time ago." Everyone else will do that for you.

NICE! Good to see he's recovering and will be back. This team is going to "make some noise".

For once I can mostly agree [after deleting "typical"] with Chris B. Probably the first time and likely the last.

Chris B,

"Just another typical byu fan/player doing a whole lot more talking than walking, as the saying goes!"

Yeah, you should know all about it since you keep saying Utah is going to win the Rose Bowl.

His new haircut looks good I think. A very sharp looking young man. I do not think they will go to the Elite 8 with no true center, but I think we are in for a positive season. If all of these 6'10" freshman pan out, we could be in for a nice couple of years.

Making this up again huh?

I think Utah is going to go 7-5 this year and go to the best bowl of anyone in the state.

A few weeks ago he made an incoherent comment about foregoing his senior season if the NBA comes calling early. Now he's playing postseason prognosticator, calling for an Elite-8 finish. From quiet, hardworking, blue collar worker to ... hmm ... please, not another prima donna, we barely got rid of the king of prima donnas just a few short months ago.

Without doubt this kid can play, but I'd really like to see him just concentrate on the rehab, learn to shoot a 15 foot jumper and bag a few free throws consistently, and otherwise clam up for a while. He fell on his knee, not his head, but I'd be hard pressed to know that from his comments over the last few weeks.

I don't think he realizes that it's going be a grind with a new front line this year, and, both individually and collectively, they're a long way from being a solid ball team at the moment. And the team needs his toughness and leadership on the floor in November, not his mouth in the newspapers in August. Hopefully this is a momentary aberration, and not the beginning of some new and undesirable trend.

I don't see a problem with setting the bar high and voicing you goal.

Good luck Cougars!

"I think Utah is going to go 7-5 ..."

Nothing but wishful thinking.

I'll bet you don't have a clue which 7 teams you think the Utes have a chance of beating.
