The Herriman Mustangs are coming to get you!!!

The game is a whole lot different than the days of option left and option right. If the Jags expect to win they better find a qb who can pass and a coach who isn't afraid to put the ball in the air more than 3-4 times a game. The Jags have neither. I expect another disappointing year. 1-9 or 0-10!

@Rockarolla - I think West Jordan will be better this year than last year. Remember...the head coach is a former Herriman coach and the assistant coach is the greatest football coach in the history of Utah high school football. I still believe Herriman dominates West Jordan. However, look for West Jordan to challenge Alta for that 4th playoff spot in an extremely strong Region 3. So, I wouldn't be so hard on the Jags. I think West Jordan beats Olympus, Hillcrest, Copper Hills and Alta. YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST....WEST JORDAN OVER ALTA!!!

@BigBenzo88 - That is some wishful thinking. I get that you want to support the former Herriman coach, but be realistic. WJ is competing in THE toughest region in the state, hands down. Not to mention they have one of the toughest pre-season schedules as well. I will give you Hillcrest and maybe Copper Hills (and that's a big maybe considering WJ lost to them for the first time in school history last year), but to say that they will beat Olympus and Alta is out there. While Alta may be down sligthly in numbers they have to still be considered one of the elite programs in the state, until proven otherwise. As for Olympus, while they may have lost some key players from last years semi-final team a look at how well their JV and Sophomore teams did last year tells you that the cupboard isn't bare. Their JV team was undefeated and their Sophomore team was 8-1, averaged 51 points per game, and ended the season with 4 consecutive shutouts. Trust me, WJ has their hands full. While the Jags might improve on their record, I can't see them going better than 2-8.

I could see West Jordan sneaking in ahead of Alta. Don't think it will happen but would not be surprised if it did.

There Jags are not going to beat Olympus, let alone Alta. They have a chance to beat Copper Hills.

Olympus only beat Cottonwood 10-6 and Cottonwood is not very good. I think as the season progresses...you will see an improvement in West Jordan. The thing about regions with only 6 teams...all that is needed to make the playoffs is to win 2 regional games. In Region 3...everyone will beat Copper Hills. The only thing left is to win one more regional game. West Jordan gets Alta on a shortened week Wednesday game.
