Why did Unga go in the supplemental draft and not in the real draft? Maybe coming out early was a mistake. byu fans always like to claim when Utah players come out early its not a good choice - maybe unga should have stayed at byu for his senior season

Good luck to Harvey who has already passed the average time in the NFL (avg = 3.2 years)!

Congratulations Harvey!

Since you already know the answer why are you asking the question?
Congratulations Harvey on another season in the NFL!

Since you already know, Christy, why are you even asking!
Harvey has already had a more successful career in the NFL than you could possibly dream of.

To Kralon

Most players are forced to retire (either for lack of competitiveness, or often due to injury). If a player can compete and has a healthy body, careers are longer. Harvey clearly hasn't faced as much pounding; now let's see if he can earn a spot. Manuia!

@Christopher B

Harvey Unga did decide to return for his senior year. But then he broke the honor code and was kicked out of school, which unfortunately for him was after the draft had taken place. That's why he went to the supplemental draft. I don't think anyone in the history of college football has willingly skipped their senior year to go to the supplemental draft. That's ridiculous.

Hopefully that clears it up for you. It looks like you weren't aware of Harvey's situation.

And I don't know very many BYU fans who say that a utah player staying is a bad decision. I would much rather have a great utah player leave than stay and help the utes for another year. Honestly, though, I think they should just do what's best for their career.

Please show me some comments where BYU fans say it's a bad idea for utes to leave early, because I'm pretty sure you're just making something up to try and criticize BYU.

Congratulations Harvey. Good Luck at the Jaguars.

I love Harvey Unga! Sure, he made a mistake in his senior year, but who among us has not done something unwise before? I admire him for owning up to it and for how he has made decisions in his professional career that shows between his marriage to his wife and his NFL career, that he puts the most importance on his wife.

THAT is class.

I bet if he can get some consistent playing time that he can show his new team the backfield beast that he is.

Go Harvey! Go Cougars!
