This scrimmage will be better than a lot of the college football regular season games. A very powerful offense against one of the best defenses in the country.

ESPN should broadcast it.

Since Friday's practice is open to the public why doesn't someone that is going video tape the practice and post it on utube for fans outside the Utah area to watch? I know I would appreciate that.

It would be nice to have some explanation why Johnson & Rob Daniel aren't running with the first team. Don't ask Mendenhall about suspensions just ask him directly why two supposed starters aren't playing with the starters and let him take it from there. As a fan I like to know what to expect come gameday so give us some indication please.

Now, remind me again why Jordon Johnson and Rob Daniel aren't getting 1st team reps? Is this another one of those "internal" disciplinary actions? Sure seems to be a lot of that going on...

Sounds like a large proportion of our best players will be riding the bench against UCONN.

What the heck happened to Trent Trammell? Wasn't he supposed to be in the mix at CB?

I wonder who this year's Ziggy is; sitting on the bench because they think someone is better.

Bronco has chosen to keep disciplinary issues private, between Bronco and the athlete, which, to me, is the correct way of handling them.

It may be frustrating to us fans not to know all of the details, but I think it's better for the athletes to be able to discuss such things with their coach without having to worry about the details of confidential discussions being broadcast to the rest of the world.

Chill out, folks. There may be several reasons why Trent Trammel and Jordan Johnson are not getting first team reps:
1. they are both coming off major ACL injuries and the coaches don't want to push them too fast. Several articles have mentioned that it is taking time for them to get confidence in the rebuilt knees;
2. Bronco is building depth--limiting the reps for reason no. 1 and giving others the chance to show what they can do. I think the coaches are limiting the reps of Rob Daniel for the same reason: the coaches know what he can do and they want to give more reps to talented young players like Mike Davis; and
3. the third and most unlikely reason is discipline. Jordan Johnson has said that he will play in the U Conn game, and we have heard nothing from Trammel or Daniel to indicate that they will miss the game for disciplinary reasons.

Alpiner, are you trying to imply that the coaches made a mistake by not playing Ziggy earlier and more often? If so, you are probably quite new to BYU sports and don't realize that Ziggy's playing time was directly related to his knowledge, skill level, and preparedness.

I keep hearing how weak the cougar's schedule is but I don't agree. Houston is a very good team. Nearly everyone back from last year. Central Florida needs a new quarterback but they'll be very good. Boise and Utah State are very good teams if history repeats itself. I think Virginia will be stronger than last year and certainly won't be a pushover. California is an unknown commodity. They were weak last year as their record indicates but no Pac 12 team is a pushover. You have to play the game and play it well or a loss occurs. I don't know about Connecticut. They led against Michigan last year until the very end. The reason we have games is to play them and determine a winner. I just enjoy the competition. The Cougars will be challenged in nearly every game. I hope they win more than they lose. That's my take on the schedule.
